The World Rally Championship returned to our country this year on a different date which in itself is a challenge.
This year the EKO Acropolis Rally confirmed its reputation by making all crews give their best in this endurance test both in the heat and in the car due to the road condition. Lamia hosted the centre of the race with the starting ceremony taking place in Athens.

The race schedule returned to its ‘classic set-up’ and was comfortable compared to last year's particularly tight schedule for spectators.
This year the group started from Tripoli on Thursday and returned full of dirt and experiences on Sunday. Our planning came off comfortably and we visited specials we hadn't seen before.
On Thursday we went early to Athens for the Zappeion super stage. Because some of us live in Tripoli and others in Athens we chose the super stage as the meeting point and starting point of this year's campaign in the mountains! We stayed overnight in Agioi Theodoroi where we saw 2 impressive passes and left for Thebes for the jump! Elatia didn't work out for us so we decided to spend the night near Pavliani where it was upside down this year.
In Pavliani we missed the access to the Hercules Baths ‘although we did a dip in the lake’, as there were too many people and few places to camp at the access of the stage so we went close to the start. After very hot weather sleeping at this altitude with this calm and coolness was the highlight of the day.
Hearing a little bit from Pavliani the cars starting we decided to descend 500m and see if we could see Inochori where we hadn't seen it before. A hairpin bend that ended up in a hairpin and the rally cars hitting the brakes in front of us to turn. Finally we visited Karoutes at the access near to the oil mill a classic spot to watch and a classic special that was not missed.
Saturday night after a visit to Service Park where I found many known simracers and not only we ended up in a tavern in Lionokladi and camped in Rovoliari for the special and power stage Tarzan. The spot at Rovoliari is very nice as you can see the car at high speed for a long time which is very impressive and that's why it's very crowded and well-maintained access.
The winner of this whole marathon is Ott Tanak adding his name to the list of winners of the Rally of the Gods.
EKO Acropolis Rally 2025!
A rally that left us with very good feelings. This year it was a particularly difficult rally for the crews as there were many flat tyres but for the spectators it was spectacular and full of surprises. We filled our pockets with dust and more and return to the daily routine with good memories and anticipation for next time.
